About This Project
We completed the custom fabrication and installation of seven slide-wire fabric panels to an existing wooden trellis, creating a versatile shade solution that complements the structure while providing improved outdoor comfort.
The project included one panel measuring at 7' 4" wide with a 13' 10" projection, two panels measuring 3' 6" wide with a 13' 10" projection, and four panels measuring 5' 5" wide 13' 10" projection.
The panels were fabricated using Sunbrella fabric in Oyster #4642 and engineered with durable components, including aluminum tubing enclosed within fabric pockets, stainless-steel cable, turnbuckles, snaps, pad eyes, and stainless-steel screws and bolts. Silver grommets were incorporated for a clean, finished appearance.
The completed slide-wire system provides flexible shade coverage while allowing the fabric panels to be easily positioned along the existing trellis, combining functionality, durability, and a clean architectural aesthetic.
