About This Project
Van Nuys Awning manufacture and installed a custom exterior shade project featuring multiple awnings and a decorative outdoor drapery system, designed to enhance both the functionality and appearance of the property's outdoor living spaces.
The project included the fabrication and installation of a custom closed-end standard style awning measuring 10' wide by 3' 8" projection, specifically engineered to accommodate an existing light sconce while providing complete rain protection with a sealed wall connection. A 4" rigid valance and moss green powder-coated frame complemented the classic design.
For the first-floor pool deck, we installed a 21' 6" open-end standard style awning with a 2' 3" projection and 5" rigid valance, creating a comfortable shaded area while maintaining the property's architectural character.
The balcony installation featured a 27' open-end standard style awning with a 5' 9" projection, roof-mounted with a custom back-fill panel and enclosed ends for a clean, finished appearance. The structure was reinforced with 2" square support posts and fabricated using U.S. Flocoat corrosion-resistant steel, finished in moss green to coordinate with the awning fabric.
To complete the balcony space, we installed a custom traverse track outdoor drapery system consisting of a center-split drape and an additional fixed side panel. The pleated drapes were paired with black drapery hardware, adding privacy, sun control, and an elegant finishing touch to the outdoor entertaining area.
All awnings were manufactured using Sunbrella® Fern Classic awning fabric, renowned for its exceptional durability, fade resistance, and long-lasting outdoor performance. This project showcases our expertise in designing and installing custom shade solutions that seamlessly blend functionality, architectural detail, and premium craftsmanship.
