About This Project
We completed a comprehensive fabric replacement project for seven motorized retractable awnings and four slide-wire shade panels, restoring the property's outdoor shading system with premium, weather-resistant materials. Each retractable awning was carefully measured and recovered with new Sunbrella® Marine Standard Solid fabric in Capri (#4675), featuring straight-edge loose valances that provide a clean, modern appearance while preserving the existing awning frames. The project also included recovering four custom slide-wire shade panels using matching Sunbrella® fabric, creating a cohesive look throughout the outdoor space. New aluminum tubing was installed within the fabric pockets, along with replacement snaps and grommets, before reconnecting each panel to the existing cable system on the wood trellis. By retaining the original awning frames and cable infrastructure while upgrading the fabric and hardware, this project delivered renewed performance, enhanced durability, and an updated aesthetic designed to provide years of reliable shade and outdoor comfort.
