About This Project
We installed a custom 20' KE Regal motorized retractable awning with an 11', 2" projection, designed to provide expansive shade while complementing the home's exterior. The awning features durable Sunbrella Cadet Grey (#4630) awning-grade fabric, a white powder-coated frame, and a clean 6" straight hem valance for a modern, finished appearance.
The system is powered by a Somfy motor and operated with a Somfy Telis 1 Patio remote transmitter, providing smooth, reliable operation at the touch of a button. Because the awning was installed beneath the home's eave, a protective hood was not required. Our team connected the awning to the homeowner's electrical supply after the client provided power within six feet of the installation location.
To prepare the installation area, the homeowner relocated the existing TV hardware and mounting brackets, allowing for proper placement of the retractable awning. The completed installation delivers convenient, motorized shade while maintaining a clean, streamlined look that enhances the outdoor living space.
