About This Project
Our team completed the fabrication and installation of a custom freestanding gable carport canopy, engineered to provide durable, all-weather vehicle protection while complementing the property's existing architecture.
The project featured one custom gable-style canopy measuring 32' by 19' in projection, supported by 10' steel posts and designed with a 2' 6" drop from the center gable. An 8" rigid valance completed the structure, providing a clean, architectural finish while enhancing the overall appearance of the canopy.
The canopy was manufactured using Sunbrella® Marine Standard Solid fabric in Storm (4636), a premium outdoor fabric recognized for its exceptional durability, UV resistance, and long-lasting color retention. The framework was fabricated from U.S. zinc-coated steel and finished in white, delivering superior corrosion resistance and structural integrity for years of dependable performance.
As part of the installation, the canopy was securely anchored to the existing concrete pad. The design also accounted for the adjacent garage door operation, with field verification performed to ensure adequate support placement and clearance. Any required height adjustments or structural modifications were identified during the site survey to maintain proper garage functionality.
This project highlights our expertise in designing and installing custom freestanding shade structures that combine premium materials, structural durability, and tailored engineering solutions for residential and commercial properties.
