About This Project
We designed, manufactured, and installed one custom round dome-style trellis structure, creating a distinctive architectural feature while providing a durable outdoor enhancement. The trellis was fabricated to approximately 12 feet wide with a 3-foot 9-inch drop and constructed using high-quality 1.25-inch square U.S. FloCoat steel framing for both the structural rafters and valance ring. The custom design included seventeen rafters precisely fabricated to match the approved specifications, creating a balanced and visually appealing dome profile.
The structure was supported by 4-inch square steel posts with back plates securely anchored to the existing concrete slab using 3/8-inch concrete anchors for long-term stability. The complete frame and posts were professionally finished with a brown paint coating to provide a durable, attractive appearance while complementing the surrounding environment. The finished trellis delivers a unique architectural statement with the strength, craftsmanship, and longevity expected from a custom-fabricated steel structure.
