In the fabrication of our welded frames, we use
high-strength galvanized steel tubing, called
Gatorshield.
Gatorshield tubing is given
superior corrosion resistance by pantented triple layer,
in-line
Flo-Coat process. Coatings of zinc and
chromate are applied, then a clear polymer topcoat seals
the surface. The result is unmatched, long-lasting rust and
corrosion protection. From inland to the beach
Gatorshield tubing will fight aganist the rust
giving your awning frame a longer life.
We use
Gore™ Tenara® sewing thread, it is
meant to enhance the life of your awning. Gore™
Tenara® sewing thread is made from 100% expanded PTFE
(PolyTetraFlouroEthylene). Gore™ Tenara® thread is
completely resistant to UV sunlight, and won't
diminish from continuous sun exposure. It is also
unaffected by cleaning products, saltwater, extreme
weather temperatures so its colors won't fade, and it
